My paintings are mood rings - A combination of who I am emotionally at the very moment my brush dives into the paint and what I feel in the subject. I use colors that vibrantly contrast, powerfully communicating these moods. Color is rooted in experiences, memories, personality and all hold meaning that emotionally align in my art. As in a science experiment, my curiosity affords me the experience of what the colors will do, what the paint will do coupled with oils, resins, clay. I recognize when the combinations reveal themselves to their own unique qualities. Animals are my first and truest loves. Recently, I am exploring alternative organic mediums, alternative presentations, geometric lines, patterns, and expanding my expressions to the human form. The natural world including all fauna is fair game for me to capture in my expressive paintings, all have a very special place in my heART. I offer artistic expression to children and adults. I am a certified (April 2019) expressive art+equine workshop facilitator and I have a mobile art workshop, Skadoodle Art, that can come to any location. If you would like to explore this, I’d love to set up a session for you.
